Since its first ever flight in May 1939 Birmingham International airport has grown from strength to strength to become a gateway to the world. Today Birmingham is the UK’s 5th largest airport, 2nd outside London, and was voted ‘Best UK Business Airport’ in 2003.
There are two main onsite car parks, which are located within a few minutes walk of the terminals. Onsite parking can be expensive, so it is advisable to book parking in advance. There are also long stay offsite car parks, within a few miles of the airport terminals, where a transfer bus will take you to the terminal.
There are train links into Birmingham International rail station at the airport. The rail station is connected to the main Airport terminals by ‘The SkyRail’, a short 2 minute walk away.
