If you’re looking to make a splash this summer in a place where the sun is shining and the slides are crazy; look no further. The best places to find all of this and more are right here.
Waterparks are just amazing aren’t they? Providing endless hours of excitement for people of all ages. They’re the perfect way to bring friends and families together, or keeping the kids entertained while you top up your tan or lose yourself in a good book.
If you’re anything like me, then choosing the right waterpark is a big decision; there’s a lot out there. So to save you the trouble, I’ve found three of the absolute best waterparks around for the wettest and wildest summer you could imagine!
Royal Wings Hotel – Antalya, Turkey
Set amongst pretty landscaped gardens, the Royal Wings Hotel in Lara Beach, Antalya, really is making waves in the waterpark scene. You’ll find an amazing wave pool that’ll quite literally sweep you off your feet, and, something for everyone, a lazy river. From the moment you arrive you’ll be zooming down exciting waterslides and making a splash in one of the many hotel pools. The pool area is the largest in the Lara Beach region (a staggering 4672m²); so it really does have that special something.
Oasis Duna Aparthotel & Acua Waterpark – Corralejo, Fuerteventura
Oasis Duna is a huge complex in Corralejo with three excellent pools to choose from. But that’s just the beginning as you’ll also get FREE access to the Acua Waterpark (formerly known as Baku). It’s only a five minute walk away and is bursting with enough fun to keep everyone amazed. The only question is, are you brave enough to face the Kamikaze or the Black Hole? I salute those who are, but if you’d prefer, there’s plenty of other things going on. Battle it out on the racing slides to become your group’s champion or be sent to dizzy heights on the twisting slides. However you make your splash, you’ll never want to leave.
Aqua Blu – Sharm el Sheikh, Red Sea Riviera
Situated in the popular resort of Sharm El Sheikh, non-stop thrill seekers will find themselves very much at home here. There’s enough water-based excitement at Aqua Blu to keep everyone happy. Part of the buzzing Aqua Park City (yes, it’s so big it’s called a city) this huge waterpark is full to the brim with crazy water rides. With 62 slides, a wave pool, lazy river and nine large swimming pools to choose from, your only problem will be how you’re going to fit them all in. And for those who are less keen on rides, don’t worry, there’s fantastic diving opportunities or a beautiful promenade to explore.
