Skiing breaks in Verbier

Verbier is one of the top ski resorts in Switzerland. At The Co-operative Travel we regularly book skiing holidays to Verbier for groups, couples and families, owing to the superb snow and range of facilities on offer.

Verbier is a charming town, featuring accommodation in traditional Alpine chalet-style hotels and sitting 1500m above sea level. Its south west location makes it perfect for soaking up the après ski sun on the hotel terrace – not surprisingly, it’s also a popular summer destination.

Why ski holidays in Verbier are perfect for families

Families booking ski holidays to Verbier are amazed at the wide range of activities on offer – there’s a lot more to this resort than just brilliant ski runs.  Verbier offers a full range of sports all year round, including swimming, paragliding, and mountain climbing, cycling and hiking.

Naturally, people who book ski breaks to Verbier are there for the skiing. However, there are many other winter sports on offer, and booking skiing breaks to Verbier through us At The Co-operative Travel means you can enjoy them all.

Skiing at Verbier

People who take skiing holidays at Verbier are in the 4 Vallees region, which offers 410 km of multi-level ski runs and 92 ski-lifts. A single ski-pass gives you full access to all the runs.

Verbier has four distinct skiing areas, each quite unique in terrain and terms of difficulty. These are Verbier, La Tzoumaz and Savoleyres, Bruson and Mt Fort and 4 Valleys. The highest point is the Mont Fort glacier (3,330m) which offers superb skiing throughout the season owing to its altitude. However, there are back-up snow machines just to make sure.

Ski holidays in Verbier – without the skis

When you book ski holidays to Verbier, you are going to one of the top snowboarding locations in the Alps. If you’ve never tried boarding, now is your chance, as both tuition and boards are widely available. There are almost as many boarding slopes as there are ski runs.

In fact, if you’re finding skiing a bit “passé,” we At The Co-operative Travel strongly advise you think about skiing breaks in Verbier – only leave the skis at home.
