Pozza di Fassa is one of many resorts that makes up the spectacular Dolomites area of north-east Italy along with Canazei, Campitello and Val di Fassa, to name a few. The resorts are interlinked and available to journey to on a daily basis with a wonderful variety of slopes and runs to choose from, it¿s like you¿re staying in several resorts at once! The Dolomites area is arguably the most beautiful mountain range in Europe, the pink and orange hues of the craggy peaks change colour from daybreak to twilight. Intermediate skiers are able to get direct access to the famous Sella Ronda from Canazei and Campitello. Here, a 26 km route encircles the Sella Massif and can be used to ski the extensive areas of Arabba, Corvara, Colfosco and Val Gardena. Advanced skiers have miles upon miles of piste to explore and discover. The north facing slopes at Arabba provide some of the most challenging skiing in the Dolomites. There are also wide, undulating runs for beginners along with blue runs, and there is huge terrain and a wonderful snowboard park in the Belvedere area for thrill-seeking snowboarders. Apres ski consists of many jovial, unpretentious bars with a friendly and warm atmosphere, and a great choice of cafes, pizzerias and restaurants, most at extremely reasonable prices.
