Ischgl Ski Resorts & Holidays

GENERAL

High in the Paznaun valley, Ischgl has developed from a traditional farming village into a bustling, popular resort. It retains its charm and offers good hotels and varied, lively nightlife. The Silvretta area lift pass gives access to Ischgl and Galtür (free ski bus - 10 minute's between Ischgl & Galtür) - 330kms of pistes, amazing off-piste and some of the best snowboarding in the Alps. The area also enjoys excellent snow records until late into the season and you can "Ski 2 Countries" with a great run down into Samnaun in Switzerland!

Beginners (3 out of 5)

Ischgl has some gentle nursery slopes, perfect for first time skiers. Under the expert supervision of the local instructors, beginners will soon be enjoying the wide, sunny slopes on the Idalpe bowl.

Intermediates (5 out of 5)

The slopes of the Palinkopf area in Ischgl offer an excellent selection of red runs, including some particularly challenging ones! An absolute must is the 12km run from the top of Palinkopf down into Switzerland and Samnaun, returning by cable car to Alp Trida.

Advanced (4 out of 5)

There are a good range of on-piste blacks and some fantastic touring routes, but the area really comes into its own when you take a guide and head for the off-piste, for which the area is renown.

Snowboarding (5 out of 5)

The Silvretta area is a snowboarder's paradise. Ischgl held the first ever snowboarding World Cup back in 1993 and now the facilities and atmosphere are better than ever! Of course the mountains are just the same - huge off-piste, great freeriding terrain and now also one of the biggest and best freestyle parks in the Alps!
