The most pleasant weather is in the coastal areas and islands on the west side, with Penang and the Langkawi peninsula being pleasant through most of the year, owing to the tropical breezes and cooling effect of the sea. Inland, the hill resorts benefit from lower humidity and temperatures, and offer a romantic and scenic environment for newlyweds.

If you love natural beauty, Selangor in Malaysian Borneo offers the chance to see wild orangutans and other animals. Penang is famous for its beaches and cultural history, but the UNESCO site of Langkawi wins hands down for beauty and wildlife. 

Kuala Lumpur is a popular destination for those booking honeymoons and weddings abroad. However, being inland it can be stiflingly oppressive in the summer months. This can be overcome by booking a honeymoon package in Putrajaya Lake or the Mines resort. Not only are they scenically attractive, the lakes are designed to cool the city down.
