Canyons and Camels
Tunisia’s dramatic landscape has made it the scene for many movies… Star Wars, Raiders of the Lost Ark and The English Patient amongst others were set here.
A fascinating place, you can spend your holiday riding camels in the desert, trekking in the mountains or visiting the salt lakes, souks and medinas. By day you can be a beach bum and then switch to sipping cocktails in exclusive harbour resorts by night.
Tunisia is where North Africa meets French influence and the collision of cultures is everywhere, making it intriguing to say the least, but if all you want to do is sleep on a beach.. you can do no better than here , Tunisia is about as little or as much as you want.
Sousse
This golden sand loaded resort town has plenty to see, from historic burial crypts to medina’s and souks where you can buy anything from secret spices to intricately woven carpets.
Sousse has character, with narrow streets, whitewashed buildings, a fantastic monastery and the Great Mosque. All of this amongst French influenced food and clear calm waters make it simply idyllic.

El Kantaoui
A short drive north of Sousse, is the chic marina town of Port El Kantaoui which has restaurants, bars and cafes a plenty. It is the perfect place to chill out with a cocktail and hubba bubba pipe overlooking the sea.

Top tip: Don’t miss the chance to take the 45 minute journey on the famous 'Red Lizard train', which runs from Metlaoui to Redeyef. This spectacular journey runs through the canyons of the Saharan Atlas mountains in central Tunisia. The 19th Century train takes you past landscapes of red and pink rocks and gorges, ending at a green Oasis.. a once in a lifetime opportunity.
