All you'll need for a relaxing Menorca holiday can be found in Santo Tomas, a family-friendly resort on the south side of the island.
The area's two beaches are the stars of a Santo Tomas holiday - long stretches of glorious white slightly shelving sands which fall gently into the clear Mediterranean Sea. Both offer plenty of space for beach games, while away from the beach, you can enjoy a round of mini golf, a game of tennis, or take a horseback ride through parts of the area.
A walkway running along the top of the beach is home to several bars and restaurants which make perfect vantage points for a leisurely evening drink and meal while watching the sun set. Several children's play areas also lead off from this path, so you don't need to stray too far from the beach to find somewhere to keep the younger ones happy.
Santo Tomas has two small supermarkets for stocking up on essentials, but for the main shopping facilities in the area you'll have to head into Mahon or Cuitadella. A little closer, two markets are held each week, in Mercadal on Sundays, and Migiom Gran every Wednesday.
Santo Tomas' main hotels offer package holidays and all-inclusive holidays which are especially popular with British visitors, and the larger hotels lay on entertainment packages as part of your Santo Tomas holiday.
On either side of the main street you'll find a number of shops selling all the typical Menorcan souvenirs, and there are also three reasonably-sized supermarkets - the catch being that all are operated by the same company, so the choice and prices aren't as competitive as they might first appear!
If you're looking for a resort which is well used to catering for the needs of British holidaymakers, then Santo Tomas will suit you down to the ground. Check The Co-operative Travel for availability of last-minute holidays, and the late deals we have on offer in Santo Tomas.
