Magaluf Holidays

GENERAL

Magaluf, one of the premium resorts for cheap family holidays in Majorca, offers a fun-packed time whatever age you are. With Mediterranean sunshine, broad sandy beaches and entertainment day and night, holidays in Magaluf are booked by everyone from party-loving singles to couples with families. We at The Co-operative Travel know our package holidays in Magaluf will make you smile.

Magaluf has been a holiday destination since the 1960s, when cheap package holidays first became popular. Shaking off its 'Sun and Sangria' image, family-orientated complexes are sited well away from the town centre. There are plenty of karaoke bars, caf├ęs, tapas restaurants and discos, with the most raucous clubs and bars being restricted to the party district of Punta Ballena.

Making a splash...

People book package holidays in Magaluf for one main reason - to have as much fun as possible. Just 10 miles from the historic capital of Palma, family holidays revolve around the broad sandy beaches of beautiful Palma Bay, where the resort is situated.

Magaluf has an eclectic range of water sports and activities, including pedalo boats, jet skiing, kite surfing, banana boats and scuba diving. If you want to stay out of the sun there are two water parks, a Wild West theme park and pirate shows.

...or spending some cash

There's no shortage of shops in Magaluf, with supermarkets for those who are self-catering. For souvenirs and crafts, the preferred choice is often Palma, or take an excursion to the market at nearby Calvia. Here you will find leatherware, jewellery and ceramics at bargain prices.

Magaluf has a wide range of cheap eateries, from traditional tapas bars to fast food outlets. The town has a large expatriate community, so there are plenty of restaurants serving familiar home-cooked fare, such as shepherd's pie and Sunday roasts - ideal for those seeking some traditional British food whilst on holiday.

The best time to visit Magaluf

All inclusive holidays in Magaluf are popular both in and out of season, with spring and autumn becoming increasingly popular with young families. Many people also flock here for cheap holidays in the winter sun. However, party-lovers prefer the hotter months of July and August, when guest DJs pump out the latest beats in the discos and nightclubs, and there are themed foam parties to keep the pace up.

Whether you want to live it up and dance till dawn, or hire a car and explore Majorca's scenic villages and coast, we at The Co-operative Travel have cheap holidays in Magaluf to suit your holiday preference.
