Cala Bona Holidays

GENERAL

Character and charm

Make the most of Majorca, on a relaxing Cala Bona holiday from The Co-operative Travel.

Still retaining the character and charm of a small fishing village, Cala Bona has a sandy beach, and its harbour still acts as the focal point.

But today, it is on the doorstep of the larger, more lively Cala Millor, so you can take up the tempo whenever you wish, then return to the tranquillity of Cala Bona to relax fully before starting the fun all over again.

Beaches consist of one main sandy area close to the harbour, and a number of small sandy areas cosseted by rocky coves and blessed by clean waters which play host of a variety of water sports.

Cala Bona's harbour is at its heart, and the fishermen still land daily the catch which is served up in the area's many excellent restaurants that evening.

But in contrast to more lively Cala Millor, most other nightlife and entertainment in Cala Bona is hotel-based, so Cala Millor itself is safe and peaceful, an ideal evening retreat for couples and families.

The harbour at Cala Bona offers coastal trips to Porto Cristo and Cala Ratjada, and there are scenic glass-bottomed boat rides that run up and down the shoreline. Again, Cala Millor is where you should head if you're looking for more active pursuits such as windsurfing and diving.
