Es Cana Holidays

GENERAL

We at The Co-operative Travel have cheap holidays in Es Cana that are tailor-made to suit families, couples and groups of all ages. One of Ibiza's best-loved resorts, Es Cana offers holidays in a laid-back atmosphere that's very different from other parts of the island. The clean, sandy beach, calm blue waters, and family-friendly hotels offer package holidays with every amenity you could wish for.

Sited on the scenic east coast, Es Cana is backed by a lush forest of pine trees. Although the resort is small and quiet, all inclusive holidays here have something to offer for even the most active youngsters. There is a good range of watersports, as well as pedaloes and day excursions by mini-train. The neighbouring resort of Santa Eulalia increases the range of facilities.

Self catering or all inclusive holidays?

Es Cana offers extremely cheap family holidays throughout the season, ranging from large hotels to beach apartments. Ibiza town is an easy drive to get groceries, while El Cana itself has a few shops for essentials. It is best known for its range of restaurants, especially around the harbour area, where you can find locally-caught seafood at very low prices.

Whether you book all-inclusive holidays on a full-board basis, or opt for self-catering in a villa or apartment, Es Cana is extremely good value.

Things to do

The long, crescent-shaped Blue Flag beach of Es Cana is what first draws everyone in. The shallow waters are safe for paddling and water sports enthusiasts keep well away. Equally placid - though with less opportunities to buy ice-cream - are the coves of Cala Boix, Cala Mastella, Cala Martina, and S'Argamassa. Don't be tempted onto Aigues Blanques unless you're a nudist though.

Surfers take their boards and head north along the promenade, to the rugged cove at Cala Nova. This is where Ibiza is at its choppiest, and is one of the few places where the sea has waves big enough to surf. Yet there are plenty of tranquil coves in between. If the beach gets too hot there are also pleasant country walks and boat trips.

Other Es Cana attractions

A visit to Es Cana may not suit if you like a non-stop party atmosphere - the resort first became popular in the laid-back hippy era, and continues to have that ambience today. Mid-week, you can still buy trinkets at the hippy market of Club Punta Arabi.

Cheap holidays at Es Cana give people the opportunity to see the alternative side of Ibiza, but the lively nightlife is never far away. We at The Co-operative Travel have plenty of offers and great package holidays in Es Cana to keep everybody happy.
