Located in southern Spain on the banks of the Guadalquivir River, Seville is the largest city in Andalucía and has plenty going on to justify its position as the region’s capital. The Bilbao Fine Arts Museum is another must see. Its origins date back to 1908 and the museum is now home to over 8,000 works by artists including Goya, El Greco, Gentileschi and Van Dyck. Paintings, sculptures and works on paper cover a period from the 12th century to the modern day. Seville International Airport is around 10 kilometres from the heart of the city, making travelling into the centre a breeze.
