Without doubt one of Majorca’s most outstanding tourist attractions. Located in Manacor, south of Porto Cristo, the ‘Dragon Caves’ extend for almost 2400 metres and hide one of the worlds largest subterranean lakes, Lake Martel. Why not take a boat trip through the stunning caves, taking in the amazing stalagtite & stalagmite formations, enhanced by the expert lighting designed by Carlos Buigas. The caves also host classical music concerts daily, a perfect way to experience the unequalled beauty of this must see attraction

Serra de Tramuntana                          www.tramuntana.info

Forming the Northern backbone of Majorca, the Serra de Tramuntana or ‘Mountains of the North Wind’ runs for 88km from Andratx to Pollenca. The pine covered trees and rocky landscape open up the higher you go to reveal stunning views of traditional Majorcan villages. The best way to explore these mountains is on foot, where you can take in the fresh air tinged with the sweet smell of rosemary and marvel at the pine trees growing through the tough red rock. Driving through this mountain range is described as ‘exciting’, negotiating tunnels, ravines and a number of hairpin bends. Total concentration is required, but the rewards are certainly worth it.

Cap de Formentor

Cap de Formentor, located in North-East Majorca, is a spectacular bluff offering wonderful views including the Mirador del Mas Pas, Menorca,  and Alcudia’s sandy beach. Perhaps the most spectacular, is the view of the cliffs below, making even the most fearless adventurer weak at the knees. The sound of the waves crashing 300m below, the vicious winds whipping in, and the amazing vistas, make this both an exhillirating, and serene attraction. For an added adventure, why not take a safari tour?
