The peace of Kalamaki, Zante is in great contrast to some of the more lively resorts not too far away on the island. 

The main route along Laganas has been the focal point for the majority of development over the years and as such it means the beach at Kalamaki has remained largely unspoiled. It has also helped ensure that Kalamaki itself is a largely peaceful resort.

Built effectively as an extension of Laganas, it boasts the same find sand and crystal-clear waters as its larger neighbour.

At this time each year, the Caretta sea turtles emerge from the water to bury their eggs in nests in the sand, which means visitors must be careful not to disturb them. Glass-bottomed boats offer trips out to their nesting grounds if you want to get a closer look.
