Hurghada’s waters are clear and calm for most of the year making it perfect for water sports activities and great for family holidays in Egypt. With long stretches of natural beaches over 20km of the Coastline, it is a fabulous destination for diving, windsurfing or snorkelling.
A great base for trips out you can visit El Dahar, where the town's largest bazaar is based or head to the Old Town to wander around or day trips to Cairo & Luxor are possible if you fancy seeing more of Ancient Egypt and have time on your hands.
If you are after a little evening entertaining, Hurghada offers a variety of entertainment including beach BBQs, foam parties and more traditional Egyptian entertainment.
Hurghada even has its own international airport meaning you are never a long trek from your hotel and can get on with enjoying your holiday..a bonus in any trip.
Downtown (El Dahar)
Head towards the old part of Hurghada town, El Dahar, to visit the traditional Egyptian bazaar packed full of tourist gifts. A little hint is to never accept the first price as bartering is expected and a fun part of Egyptian life!
The best buys in Hurghada are Papyrus paintings or, for the more adventurous, the traditional Egyptian 'shisha pipes' but you can find anything and everything here so you are sure not to go home empty handed!
