This wonderfully relaxing resort, boasting several luxury hotels and a huge stretch of beach, is about 150 miles south-west of Bangkok, Thailand, and a big favourite with Thai families, all no doubt eager to ‘live like royalty’ for at least a couple of weeks.

Just under three hours’ drive from Bangkok airport, a  package holiday or  all inclusive holiday offers the chance to escape the hurly-burly of the Thai capital, Bangkok, and simply enjoy an experience of Thai life which is more relaxed.

The coast around Hua Hin is well worth exploring if you tire of the beach. Hua Hin’s sister resort Cha Am is a ten minute drive north and is as well-established and relaxed as Hua Hin. Travelling south from Hua Hin there are many fishing villages and secluded coves. Prachuap Khiri Khan is a provincial capital to the south, with a fascinating fishing port and a scenic bay. Khao Sam Roi Yot National Park, with its waterfalls and mangroves is also south of Hua Hin.
