Sand Dunes & Sunsets

Gran Canaria is a beautiful island full of sand dunes and scenery. The third largest of the Canary Islands, it boasts fantastic weather, over 50 beaches and is dotted with picturesque villages and desert landscapes.

You may feel like you are in the middle of nowhere amongst a backdrop of golden sands in Maspalomas or if you are more into Flora and Fauna, Palmitos Park is the home of 150 species of birds, a butterfly house, aquarium and gibbon island!  An array of activities await the adventurous here, from water sports to sand dune trekking. Gran Canaria is diverse and delightful so try it!

Maspalomas

Maspalomas in the south is famous for its amazing sand dunes. The white sand beach there is regarded as the most beautiful on Gran Canaria and has different sections depending on what you are after.  You can go surfing and windsurfing at the Rocky Playa de las Mujeres, or visit La Charca lagoon if you like sunbathing and swimming.
Activities wise, golfers will also find themselves with 3 top class golf courses or if you are on a family holiday, just outside Maspalomas is the biggest water park in the Canary Islands.

Playa del Inglés

Playa del Inglés is where the nightlife is for the young or young at heart!  Just a short walk over the sand dunes from Maspalomas, it has a fantastic selection of restaurants, bars and clubs. Perfect for couples breaks or groups looking for a little more action. The great beach is ideal for sunbathing and sleeping away all of those late nights!

San Agustin

San Agustin is a quiet and cosy resort next to Maspalomas with whitewashed buildings & dark sandy beaches.  If you are looking to be close enough to the tourist are as yet far enough away to enjoy the peace this is for you!  Perfect for a cheap family holiday and you can always take the kids to the nearby Wild West theme park, or race each other around the go-karting track.
