Torremolinos
Torremolinos is a great beach destination for families, providing reasonably priced accommodation and plenty of activities for a family holiday in costa del sol.
It's got a fantastic promenade lined with bars, restaurants and shops… which stretches from Playamar to Benalmadena for those who want to stretch their legs. Activities here include a trip to the water park, golfing, shopping, jet-skiing, or plain old fashioned beach life!
Those looking for a quieter trip can head to the old fisherman's quarter of La Carihuela or go to the old part of town, known as El Calvario, with its narrow streets and sedate lifestyle.
Marbella and Puerto Banus
On the sunny south coast nestle the neighbouring glitzy resorts of Marbella and Puerto Banus. Port side life here involves yachts, cocktails, Gucci and Ferraris and you can play ‘spot the celebrity’ as people like Simon Cowell and the Beckhams frequent this part of the Costa del Sol.
You don’t have to be loaded to have a good time here though…. Cheap holidays to Marbella are still available if you plan ahead and with excellent accommodation available in the heart of the action, you could never be bored here!
