Dickenson Bay Holidays

GENERAL

Pack yourself off to Dickenson Bay with The Co-operative Travel, and you'll be ideally located to see for yourself how the Caribbean island of Antigua lives up to its claim to have a beach for every day of the year!

With plenty of rooms on offer in hotels of all sizes, there is a very good chance that you'll find a package holiday or all-inclusive holiday that lifts the lid on the many attractions of Antigua - well beyond just the beaches.

A relatively short transfer of seven miles from the island's airport lands you in Dickenson Bay, which has a surprising amount of attractions to lure you away from those beaches. Foremost among these, Historic Nelson's Dockyard in English Harbour is one of the Caribbean's best-preserved historic districts and the only Georgian-era dockyard still in use; in addition to a museum, it's filled with shops and restaurants.

The beachfront, though, is a natural magnet for many restaurants and bars which will allow you to pass many a pleasant evening, unless you're looking for a full-on party centre, in which case you'll need to head some distance south, to English Harbour.

The soft sands of Dickenson Bay's beaches are ideal for families, and water-based activities such as sailing and snorkelling are at hand if you're looking to do more than just lie back and chill out.

The compact nature of Dickenson Bay should mean there's no need to hire a car, and in any case, the climate is just made for walking everywhere!

Delightful Dickenson Bay has a broad appeal which you'll be able to sample first-hand on a holiday with The Co-operative Travel. So slip down a gear, and sample this delightful Caribbean confection!
