Located on the north east of the Yucatan Peninsula in Mexico, temperatures rarely fall below 28oc throughout the year and regularly exceed 34oc in August. Like most of the Caribbean the best time to visit is between November and May when Cancun is drier and less humid.

The best time to be had in Coco Bongo’s is between 12am and 2am when all the performers make an appearance. See Spiderman battle the Green Goblin suspended from the ceiling inches above your head, dance on the bar with Beetlejuice or the Mask and watch fantastic impersonators of Robbie Williams, Elvis, Michael Jackson and Madonna on the towering pyramid stage.

Cancun really becomes alive during America’s Spring Break when thousands of college students head across the border to take in the unrivalled party atmosphere. Those seeking a more relaxed quieter holiday should try Playa del Carmen, just an hour away from Cancun with a regular bus service to the lively resort when looking for a lively experience in the evening.

Cancun also provides the perfect base for a day trip to Chichen Itza, location of the most famous Mayan pyramid ruins deep in the jungle of the Yucatan Peninsula, where the breath taking El Castillo dominates the skyline. A trip to the beautiful island of Cozumel is also a must sailing from the docks of Playa Del Carmen, roughly 40 minutes away.
