La Palma is one of the smallest Canary Islands and primarily a large national park full of unspoilt nature as well as being home to the largest volcano in the world, La Caldera de Taburiente. Being volcanic, the black sandy beaches make for dramatic viewing and La Palma has very few resorts meaning it is perfect for romantic breaks and those looking for a quieter holiday.
