Places of interest in Cyprus
There is so much to do and enjoy on all inclusive holidays to Cyprus, you would be forgiven for staying in the resort but there is still plenty to do on a day out. Take one of the many boat trips to visit Famagusta, the famous ghost town that has been occupied by Turkish forces since 1974. The locals were forced to flee their homes and you can still see the washing left hung on lines and empty houses, even today.
Relaxing boat trips offer a chance to swim in the crystal clear waters of Konnos Bay as well as dolphin and turtle sightings. Aphrodite's Temple and the birthplace of Aphrodite in the Polis and Latchi area is an interesting site as well as the ancient Kourion and Kolossi Castle built by Richard the Lionheart.

Eating out on holidays in Cyprus
The food in Cyprus is predominantly Greek with many of the traditional dishes served. No holiday to Cyprus would be complete without experiencing a Meze night - an evening of dining that usually involves around 20 small dishes. Each dish served during the Meze is a small portion starting with a selection of starters, followed by small portions of meat and fish dishes and finally dessert, if you have any room left.
