The right ski boots 'can make a difference'
Holidaymakers who hit the slopes regularly may wish to consider investing in their own pair of ski boots.
Writing for the Telegraph, Maggie O'Sullivan noted that the right footwear can "make a big difference".
She described how a specialist shop can use foot mapping and video analysis techniques to help find the correct pair and described how she did this for herself.
The "best bit", according to Ms O'Sullivan, is standing on the warm moulds to make the custom insoles for your shoes.
Two weeks later, she headed off to test the new boots and said that they "definitely" helped to improve her skiing.
"The first difference was that, while my friends complained about their hired boots, I never gave mine a second thought. I didn't even undo them at lunchtime," Ms O'Sullivan added.
In related news, Brits heading off on
ski holidays this winter were recently urged to avoid drinking alcohol before taking to the slopes.
Research carried out by insurance provider More Than revealed that 74 per cent of people do not think that drinking heavily the night before they go skiing will affect their ability.
