New London to Paris air links announced
Brits planning to take
winter holidays in France early next year will be just in time to benefit from the introduction of a new air link between London and the French capital Paris.
Flights from London Heathrow to Paris Orly airport will be launched in January 2011 by British Airways to complement the carrier's existing service to Paris Charles de Gaulle.
Scheduled to begin on January 10th, the service will offer those taking
last minute holidays the choice of 12 weekly
flights on Airbus A319, A320 and A321 aircraft.
Colm Lacy, BA's general manager of network planning, said: "This is an excellent addition to our short-haul network, allowing business travellers easy access to the Paris financial district which is close to Orly airport.
"Customers will also be able to make smooth connections on to BA subsidiary OpenSkies' services between Orly and the United States, and on to oneworld partner Iberia."
Those going into France on
holiday also have the option of using rail or water transport links.
