Most underrated ski destinations revealed

Those planning to take a winter ski break may be interested to learn that one newspaper has compiled a list of the world's most underrated ski resorts.

Writing for the Times, Sam Baldwin noted that there are several destinations that currently fly under the radar.

One such place is Serre Chevalier in France, which is often overlooked by holidaymakers, but "scores highly" with snowboarding enthusiasts.

Another destination recommended for British skiers is the French resort of La Clusaz.

Paul Wilson, founder of PropagandaSnowboards, described it as a "picture postcard ski town".

"It's not a town for 24-hour party people, but it is a fantastic five-mountain linked range, set around a traditional and quaint village centre," he told the newspaper.

AA Travel Insurance recently advised holidaymakers to take precautions when hitting the slopes this winter as resorts are likely to be busy.
