Most popular ski destinations revealed

Brits planning to book a late season ski holiday may be interested to learn that budget airline easyJet has compiled a list of the most popular destinations.

The airline noted that holidaymakers are opting for places that are easy to access and involve short transfer times.

French resorts dominated the top five, with Chamoniox proving the most popular, followed by Avoriaz and Meribel.

Other destinations that have been attracting Brits in recent months include Les Arcs, Kitzbuhel in Austria and Arinsol in Andorra.

Commenting on the findings, Charles Martin, easyJet's partnership manager, said: "France attracts over 50 per cent of all British skiers, so its no surprise to see French resorts taking the top slots."

Speaking recently, Vanessa Fisher, spokesperson for the Ski Club of Great Britain, noted that many resorts in France have reduced their prices over the last year in a bid to draw skiers from the UK.
