Head to Val Thorens this winter 'for guaranteed snow'
It may be summer, but many British families will no doubt already be thinking about their winter break.
Clementine Blanchard, a spokesperson for Office du Tourisme de Val Thorens, suggested that people looking for a great ski destination should head to Val Thorens, where there is "guaranteed snow".
As the highest resort in Europe, it caters for skiers of all ages and abilities, she noted.
"It is a very good ski area, because it is very big and because it is part of the three valleys," Ms Blanchard commented.
She pointed out that as well as skiing, there are a wide range of other activities that people can enjoy on the slopes, such as ice driving and tobogganing.
According to a Crystal Ski Industry Report published earlier this month, France is the most popular destination for British winter sports enthusiasts, with Austria coming second - attracting 25.5 per cent of the market share.
