Head to Les Arcs 'for a great choice of pistes'

The French ski resort of Les Arcs is the ideal place for families and mixed-ability groups.

This is according to Chris Gill and Dave Watts, noted that it is a modern purpose-built ski resort that is dominated by apartment buildings.

Writing for the Telegraph, they noted that it is also possible for guests holidaying in Les Arcs to visit the nearby resorts of Val d'Isere-Tignes, La Rosiere and Ste-Foy-Tarentaise.

"Les Arcs is a good choice for families wanting convenience. There is a children's area at 1800, complete with moving carpet lifts, a sledging track and a climbing wall", the pair commented.

In related news, travel search site Skyscanner recently claimed that Geneva is a great ski holiday destination for British families, with more than 100 resorts within a two-hour drive of the airport.

One of the closest ski centres is Lelex, a small resort served by 13 ski lifts, which is ideal for beginners.
