Bulgarian ski resorts 'offer good value for money'

People planning to jet off on cheap ski holidays this winter may be interested to learn that, according to one expert, they will get plenty of bang for their buck in Bulgaria.

Anthony Chenery of Teletext said that there are some excellent package deals to be had at the moment.

"Operators - to stimulate demand - have been cutting their prices quite significantly, which is great news if you want to go skiing," he commented.

Although Bulgaria offers good value for money, he claimed that intermediate and advanced skiers may find that the slopes there are not challenging enough.

Instead, they should opt for France, Austria or Switzerland, Mr Chenery added.

In related news, people planning to take a Valentine's Day break have been advised to go for a small, secluded resort.

According to the Ski Club of Great Britain, they should go off the beaten track for a more romantic trip.
