Turkey recommended for late summer holidays
Conde Nast Traveller has reassured UK consumers that it is not too late to set off on a
summer holiday and recommended a number of destinations that are ideal for a late-season break, such as Turkey's Lycian coast.
Highlighting the benefits of the region once the peak travel period has wound down, the magazine noted that it offers comfortable autumn temperatures and quiet beaches and historic sites.
Accessibility is not a problem, as airlines such as easyJet and Monarch Airlines continue to offer
flights to Dalaman.
People planning a
last minute holiday over the coming weeks and months could also consider the Greek isle of Santorini.
Conde Nast Traveller described the destination as the "most famous and striking Greek island" and encouraged visitors to look out for "sugar-cube houses and blue-domed churches" perching on a cliff that was once the crater of a volcano.
The magazine also recommended the Dordogne region in southern France, Italy's Amalfi coast, the Costa de la Luz in south-west Spain and the British
holiday resort of Cornwall.
