Travellers urged to see diverse Istanbul on Turkey holidays
People planning Turkey
holidays this year have been encouraged to discover some of the diverse experiences on offer in Istanbul.
Travellers who have the opportunity to see Istanbul during
cheap holidays to Turkey this year have been encouraged to seek out some of the diverse experiences on offer in the city.
Joanna Marsh, a spokeswoman for the Turkish Culture and Tourism Office, pointed out that the destination offers history and culture, as well as high-quality restaurants and nightlife.
She claimed that one of the "amazing" things about Istanbul is its contrasting mix of ancient and modern aspects.
"I would recommend getting a good balance of both - head to a traditional Turkish Bath, visit Topkapi Palace and the Blue Mosque, but also make time to eat out at one of the swanky restaurants on the Bosphorus or in the trendy area of Beyoglu and visit more contemporary attractions such as the Museum of Modern Art," added Ms Marsh.
Other experiences on offer to people visiting Istanbul during Turkey holidays include taking a boat ride on the Bosphorus to enjoy scenic views of the city.
