Sample 'delicious food' on a holiday to Turkey
Holidaymakers heading to Turkey this summer will be spoilt for choice when it comes to activities to enjoy and places to visit.
Irfan Onal, director of the UK Turkish Culture and Tourism Office, advised people looking for an authentic experience to sample some local food during their stay.
"There are a fantastic array of starters – mezzes - to choose from, meat and vegetarian dishes not to mention traditional desserts. Turkish wine is gaining international recognition more and more so make sure you order a bottle to accompany your meal," he commented.
Visiting a traditional bazaar is another great way to soak up some culture during your stay, according to Mr Onal.
In addition, he recommended that holidaymakers enjoy a Turkish bath and a professional massage.
Speaking to the Sunday Business Post earlier this week, Pat Dawson, president of the Irish Travel Agents Association, said
holidays to Turkey are proving popular with Irish travellers this summer.
