Marmaris 'suits all sorts of holidaymakers'
Britons planning
cheap holidays to Turkey should have no trouble finding things to do in the resort of Marmaris, according to the national tourist board.
The destination is highly popular among travellers from the UK, with about 40 per cent of Brits who visit Turkey staying there or in neighbouring Icmeler.
Jill Guest, a spokeswoman for the Turkish Culture and Tourism Office, said that Marmaris offers picturesque coastal and mountain scenery, as well as an array of attractions and amenities for guests.
"Resort life centres around the attractive harbour, its lively promenade and the main public beach," she said. "There is an abundance of restaurants to choose from serving all manner of Turkish and international cuisine.
"Nightlife is lively and varied, with something to suit all ages and tastes. Many bars welcome families and children, with some even catering specifically for them."
Ms Guest also pointed out that shopaholics will be "spoilt for choice" during
all inclusive holidays and other trips in Marmaris, while families can visit the Atlantis water park.
