Wildlife "abundant" in Spain's Els Port Mountains

Tourists hoping for cheap holidays to Spain that include opportunities to view local wildlife may be interested in visiting the Els Port Mountains, according to the Telegraph.

The publication states that holidaymakers can see wildlife in the mountains, and the area can be accessed via three airports, Zaragoza, Barcelona and Valencia, all of which are served by budget airline Ryanair.

The Telegraph states: "The area has abundant wildlife. Above forests of beech, oak and cork cruise eagles and vultures. Smaller birds – including firecrests, treecreepers, tits and warblers – flit among the trees."

Wildcat, boar and ibex are also to be found in the area, according to the Telegraph.

Of particular note is the experience of watching the wild vultures feed at close quarters, which The Telegraph describes as an "unforgettable" adventure.

Holidaymakers may also be interested in visiting nearby Barcelona, the second largest city in Spain after Madrid.ADNFCR-2580-ID-800409811-ADNFCR
