Spain makes Brits feel at home, tourism office states
All-inclusive holidays and other types of breaks in Spain are popular among Brits because the country makes them feel at home, the Spanish Tourism Office has said.
Carmen Hernandez Gomez, the organisation's market analyst, noted that many of those heading to Spain do not feel like they are visiting a foreign country as many things are like home.
She explained: "Brits have been travelling to Spain for many decades. They like it and tend to go back. Nine in ten that arrive in Spain every year have been in the country before.
"If they decide to rent a car, the roads are safe. Facilities such as hospitals and airports are modern. Spanish people are friendly and welcoming. And it's just two hours away."
Ms Gomez went on to state that visitors who do not feel like exploring can choose to relax in popular resorts where English is widely spoken.
Spain's Mediterranean weather and white sandy beaches are among the things that make the destination popular among Brits.
