Holidays to Spain 'proving popular'
It seems that
holidays to Spain are proving popular with British families this year.
Monarch Airlines has announced plans to expand its
flight schedule, adding additional services to existing routes and introducing new winter routes.
The carrier is stepping up the number of services it offers to mainland Spain and the Spanish islands, with year-round
flights now being operated between Palma, and Glasgow and Manchester.
"The additional flying across the Monarch network over the winter months is reflective of the booking strength we are already seeing for
flights to core destinations such as Alicante and Malaga. Our winter flying programme has been on sale since January 2010 and demand for
flights to our Spanish destinations has continued to grow since then," said the airline's managing director Tim Jeans.
He added that customers have been requesting year-round
flights to Majorca for some time now.
Speaking recently, Nadine Hallak, a spokesperson for cheapflights.co.uk, said Spain is a destination that has something for everyone.
