Best Tenerife beach revealed
People taking holidays to Tenerife this autumn have been advised to visit Las Teresitas beach.
Writing for the Daily Telegraph, Annie Bennett described it as a "curving bay of golden sand sheltered by mountains".
She noted that the beach is frequented by locals as it just five miles north of Santa Cruz.
"An artificial reef not only helps keep the sea calm, but also attracts shoals of tropical fish, so there is a lot to see if you're keen on diving or snorkelling. The shallow water makes it a safe choice for families with young children," Ms Bennett commented.
She added that there are plenty of bars and restaurants to visit nearby and recommended that holidaymakers sample some of the tasty seafood on offer at Los Churritos.
As well as the Canary Islands, another popular late summer destination for Britons is Egypt.
Khaled Ramy, director UK & Ireland of the Egyptian State Tourist Office, said recently that the country offers excellent value for money.
