All inclusive holidays in European 'popular this summer'
All inclusive holidays in European countries are set to be a popular this year as people head abroad again after spending last year on a staycation at home, it has been stated.
Research by Eurobarometer found that British holidaymakers are not alone in wanting to explore the warm counties on their doorstep, as many other travellers are thinking of paying visits to nations like Spain this summer.
Around 50 per cent of the people surveyed stated that they wanted to travel to Europe this summer, with 37 per cent of people considering their annual trip the perfect excuse to enjoy some rest and recreation.
While 57 per cent of people are planning to go to a traditional tourist resort, 28 per cent stated that they are looking into travelling to a little-known spot in search of some adventure.
Earlier research by Lloyds TSB found similar results, with an estimated 35.6 million Brits thinking of going abroad this summer.
