Discover the tapas scene on holidays to Majorca
Foodies preparing for their
holiday in Spain may wish to take a trip to Majorca, as one source has lauded the quality of the tapas on the island.
Writing for the Guardian, Annabelle Thorpe listed a variety of top places to visit in Palma, such as The Tapas Club on Paseo del Portixol and La Boveda on Paseo Sagrera, which is a local favourite.
"Palma's maze of medieval streets and alleys hides an impressive array of tapas bars and bodegas – from pleasingly ramshackle to gleamingly minimalist," she remarked.
Ms Thorpe also recommended Bodega Bellver, which she explained is tucked up the side street of Calle Serinya and is "steeped in history and atmosphere".
If people are worried about how much tapas cost in the area, it will come as a relief that tapas are normally only €2 (£1.68) each, according to the author.
Among the different styles of snacks holidaymakers may come across are smoked, pickled, marinated, fried, stewed and egg-based bites, reports Travel DK.
