World's first interactive animal hospital to open in Florida
Visitors to the Busch Gardens resort in Tampa, Florida will be able to see the world's first 'interactive animal hospital' this month.
Opening on Monday January 23rd, the new facility will enable holidaymakers to witness the park's vets working first hand and will be allowed to watch procedures ranging from X-rays to surgery.
Demonstrations on how to find the correct diet for an animal will also be given, with visitors able to get involved in feeding the park's wildlife if they wish.
"We welcome the opportunity to share our level of care with our guests and to continue our mission of connecting guests to animals and the natural world," Mike Boos, vice-president of zoological operations explained.
"No other zoological facility can offer the unique, up-close experience that this new facility will provide."
Busch Gardens will also showcase its new Iceploration attraction next month, which features 20 performers and a cast of animals in a 30-minute performance.
