Head to Ibiza for late summer sun
People planning to book a late summer break may wish to consider taking a holiday to Ibiza.
Writing for the Financial Times, Jan Morris and Joanne O'Connor said the Spanish island is a good option those hoping to jet abroad over the coming months.
They noted that the "hedonism" of the island "shifts down a gear" at this time of year.
"The beaches are deserted, the sea still warm. There's clubbing if you want it – Pacha stays open all year – but Ibiza aficionados are more likely to be found hanging out at one of the many rustic-chic agriturismos," they commented.
Other destinations where Brits can soak up some late summer sunshine include Corsica, Sicily and Hvar in Croatia.
In related news, families looking for a low-cost break this autumn have been advised to book a holiday to Egypt.
Khaled Ramy, director UK & Ireland of the Egyptian State Tourist Office, said the country is becoming increasingly popular with British families.
