Egypt's White Med 'becoming more accessible for Brits'
The northern shores of Egypt - between El Alamein and the Libyan border – is likely to become increasingly popular over the coming year, it has been claimed.
Khaled Ramy, director of the Egyptian State Tourist Office, noted that several state-of-the-art resorts have been built there in recent years and said that Thomson will be providing twice weekly
flights to the area from May.
The area has a great deal to offer holidaymakers, including crystal clear waters, sports activities and cultural attractions.
"From there you can visit the area of El Alamein which was very important during the second world war [and] you can visit Alexandria which is the second biggest city in Egypt," he commented.

A recent study published by Wanderlust and the Association of Independent Tour Operators revealed that 83 per cent of people plan to take at least the same number of trips abroad as they did last year.
