Olympic stars to feature in BA inflight video
British Airways will begin showing an inflight video to passengers this month which sets out the hopes and aspirations of some of the athletes likely to represent Great Britain at the London Olympics this summer.
The video will also attempt to promote inflight exercise and wellbeing with world champion hepthathlete Jessica Ennis, Olympic medal gymnast Louise Smith and Paralympic medallist Shelly Woods demonstrating a number of moves which can be done in the comfort of your seat.
Luisa Fernandez, British Airways sponsorship manager, said that the athlete’s sporting background made them idea for the job of promoting wellbeing to holidaymakers.
She added: “As official airline of Team GB and Paralympics GB, we will be flying athletes to and from training camps in the coming months, so they will benefit from the wellbeing video too.”
But while the athletes are competing this summer, it seems that many may be jetting off to get away from it. A recent study from ABTA has found that 12 per cent of Britons are planning on
summer holidays overseas just so that they can avoid the hype of the Games.
