More great holiday deals available 'than ever'

British holidaymakers are more likely to jet abroad more this year than they did in 2009, it has been suggested.

Jonathan Cudworth, director of product management for Expedia, noted that with dynamic packaging technology, those who book their flights, accommodation and car hire at the same time can make savings of around 40 per cent.

"With more great value deals available than ever before, travellers now have the perfect opportunity to go to the destinations that they've always wanted to visit," he commented.

Mr Cudworth said 2010 will see holidaymakers spending more on flights and travelling to long-haul destinations in order to save money on arrival.

Destinations such as Malaysia, Borneo and Indonesia are proving increasingly popular with British holidaymakers, he added.

Speaking recently, Sharron Livingston, editor at thetravelmagazine.net, said people should book their breaks as far in advance as possible in order to save money.
