Brits 'can enjoy an activity holiday anywhere'
Activity
holidays to Spain and elsewhere are proving increasingly popular with Brits, it has been claimed.
Ian Bradley, a spokesman for the Association of Independent Tour Operators, said it is a trend that has been increasing over the last few years.
"People want to do more on their
holiday… rather than fly and flop on a beach they want to be active, they want to try something new. That could be diving, or cooking or just indulging an impression that may be trying a food and wine
holiday, or something like that," he commented.
Mr Bradley noted that people want to do more with their
holidays and feel that they have wasted their break if they just sit on a beach for two weeks.
A recent study carried out by Cotteges4you revealed that ten per cent of people like to indulge their favourite hobby while travelling.
Of those polled, 44 per cent said they get restless after a few days away.
