Top things to do in Aruba revealed

Brits hoping to head off on an all-inclusive Caribbean holiday this winter have been offered some tips on how to pass their time in Aruba.

The island is fast becoming one of the area's must-visit destinations , with tourist numbers up by 51.2 per cent in September, compared with the previous year.

According to the Aruba Tourism Authority, visitors will find no shortage of things to do and places to explore during their stay on the island.

One way to see the whole island is to take an off-road jeep adventure and go "full throttle" through the amazing countryside and cacti forests.

Holidaymakers can "explore the ruins of 18th century Spanish gold mines, admire the beautiful natural bridges [and] take in magnificent views stretching as far as Venezuela".

Other top things to do include exploring Arikok National Park and taking a wreck diving excursion.

Speaking recently, Kate Kenward, executive director at the Association of Independent Tour Operators, said there will always be a market for luxury all-inclusive holidays.
