Savour wine and culture on a Cyprus holiday

People looking forward to all inclusive holidays in Cyprus over the coming months will be able to experience local food, wine and culture at a series of events.

The local tourist board recommended a number of "sizzling hot festivals" that are set to return this year, such as Kypria, the island's best-known celebration of the arts.

Various venues will host live performances and productions in September and October as part of the cultural celebration, which has previously welcomed the likes of Ute Lemper, Tap Dogs and the Martha Graham Dance Company.

Travellers visiting Paphos during holidays in Cyprus might have the opportunity to enjoy some opera during the Aphrodite Festival, which will be held in a medieval fort near the old harbour from September 2nd to 4th.

This year's show is The Tales of Hoffmann, an operetta by Jacques Offenbach.

A variety of regional produce will be served up to island visitors at this year's Limassol Wine Festival, which will run for 12 days in late August and early September.

The Municipal Gardens will offer free tastings of Muscat and Commandaria wines, Cypriot food, music, dancing and more.
