Passengers 'prepared to pay more for better flight experience'
Britons taking
holidays to Spain and other popular destinations would be prepared to pay more for a better
flight experience, it has been revealed.
Research carried out by
Holiday Extras found that 58 per cent of passengers would pay more for in-
flight entertainment, food and drink, additional leg room and improved comfort.
More than half of those polled said a meal should be included in the cost of a ticket.
"It's encouraging to see people wanting to improve their in-
flight experience, and perhaps this is a result of more people choosing long haul destinations and requiring a higher level of comfort," said Mike Whiting, managing editor at
Holiday Extras.
A separate survey carried out by the company earlier this month revealed that almost half of parents would allow their child to skip school in order to secure a good deal on a break abroad.
Of those surveyed, 44 per cent said they would be happy to do this.
