One in ten Brits 'dream of a Caribbean holiday'

One in ten (nine per cent) Britons dream of taking a luxury holiday in the Caribbean, a new survey suggests.

Scottish Widows commissioned a poll of more than 2,000 UK adults to discover the most appealing 'once-in-a-lifetime' experiences, with travel dominating the results.

A quarter (26 per cent) of people have aspirations to embark on trips across the globe, while 11 per cent harbour an ambition to swim with dolphins.

Safari holidays are also a popular option, with nine per cent of respondents saying they would like to take a trip of this kind during their lifetime.

Overall, 86 per cent of Britons have fantasies about unique experiences and 45 per cent would be willing to stretch themselves financially to make their dream come true, according to the research.

Britons hoping to fulfil their travel ambitions with a summer holiday in the Caribbean this year can choose from some of the region's most luxurious destinations, such as Antigua, Barbados and St Lucia.ADNFCR-2580-ID-800604686-ADNFCR
