Enjoy an outdoor adventure on holiday in Cyprus

Britons planning all inclusive holidays and other breaks on the island of Cyprus this year can choose from a range of outdoor, nature-themed activities, which are becoming increasingly popular among visitors.

The Cyprus Tourism Organisation claimed that 'agrotourism' is booming, with areas such as the Troodos Mountains attracting high levels of interest.

Some 97 marked walking trails are available in the national park, covering a total distance of 861km and taking in forests, waterfalls and other impressive sights.

Tours are available from the visitor centre in Platres.

Visitors who fancy trying activities such as cycling and horse riding can pay a visit to the mountain village of Tochni, which is a gateway for outdoor pursuits.

Other experiences on offer to people enjoying summer holidays in Cyprus include following a cultural trail in the village of Laneia, embarking on gastronomic tours to sample local produce and visiting the Tsiakkas winery in Pelentri to try Commandaria, the island's sweet wine.ADNFCR-2580-ID-800565115-ADNFCR
